Research Interests:

My research interests are computer vision, image processing, and machine learning. Within these areas I focus on:
  • Automatic extraction and recognition of objects in a scene
  • Event recognition
  • Illumination insensitive recognition of objects with different materials properties such as matte, specular, transparent and their combinations
  • Photometric image matching
  • 3D recovery/modeling and image based rendering
  • Privacy preserving face recognition
